An Ounce of Prevention is Worth a Pound of Cure: Legal Consel, Business, Tax, Real Estate & Wills and Trust

Yes, you need an Estate Plan

Posted on: February 21st, 2018
I am often asked, "Do I need an estate plan?" My answer is very short: Yes. You have the ability to care for your family when you are no longer able to do so. That's why many have an estate plan prepared with trusts, wills and powers of attorney. But life happens; laws change; new priorities or concerns emerge. Estate planning is not as clear-cut as you might think. Plans often fail due to a lack of review and updating for changing needs.

The Family Counsel Plan provides the attention and flexibility needed to avoid such failure. Proper legal counsel should involve far more than a trust, will or other "document." In April 2015, I was a guest speaker for the Live Hour show on 1410 AM Archangel Radio, and in that hour I touched on why it is important for a person to meet regularly with his or her attorney and other trusted advisors with respect to an estate plan. Here is a clip from that interview; for the full interview, click here
